At SA Adventure, we believe that off-roading is not only limited to 4x4 vehicles, and our comprehensive 4x2 training course aims to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to conquer any off-road adventure with a two-wheel drive vehicle.
Our 4x2 off-road training program is tailored to cater to the unique demands and capabilities of 4x2 vehicles. With our top-notch instructors and guides, you will learn the techniques required to manoeuvre through challenging terrains, including mud, sand, gravel, and rocky surfaces with your two-wheel drive. Our instructors have extensive experience in driving and navigating off-road situations with 4x2 vehicles, ensuring that you receive expert guidance throughout your off-road training experience.
During the training program, you will learn essential skills such as proper vehicle control, throttle and brake management, weight distribution, and off-road line selection. We will teach you how to maximise the traction and manoeuvrability of your 4x2 vehicle, allowing you to confidently tackle

Where do I do my 4x4 Training?
Escape the fast-paced city life and immerse yourself in the untamed beauty of the South African bushveld at our exclusive off-road training venue situated in the renowned Hennops off-road Trail. This exceptional location offers an authentic bush experience, transporting you far away from the chaos of urban living for a few hours.
Surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the bush, our 4x2 training course provides a one-of-a-kind setting where you can witness a diverse range of indigenous wildlife. Prepare to be mesmerised by the presence of magnificent creatures like Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Kudu, Impala, and even the elusive black-backed Jackal, adding an extra touch of enchantment to your training experience. It truly is the ultimate destination for off-road training in Gauteng.
Our adventure commences at the heart of the trail, where we gather in a rustic boma-styled classroom that serves as the backdrop for the theory portion of your 4x2 training course. Here, we delve into the essential knowledge and principles that will guide you through your thrilling off-road journey.
Once the theory session is complete, get ready to embark on an exhilarating expedition through our meticulously designed off-road trail. This trail has been carefully crafted to replicate the diverse terrains you may encounter throughout Southern Africa, ensuring that you are well-prepared for any off-road situation you may face during your exciting adventures in the vast South African outdoors.
So What Will I Learn?
Our Introductory 4x2 Training Program:
The 4x2 course begins at 10 am and usually ends between 2 to 2:30 pm, with a maximum group size of 6 vehicles.
The course takes place at the famous Hennops Off-road Trail and the fee for each vehicle is R1400-00, which covers the driver a co-driver or a passenger as well.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 10.
Both drivers and co-drivers will receive a certificate of competency in off-road driving.
How Do I Book My 4x2 Off-Road Training?
Once you have decided to join one of SA Adventure's 4x2 training courses, you can find the available dates on the booking form. After completing the booking form and making your payment online, a confirmation email will be sent to you, containing all the necessary details for your 4x2 training course.
If you are purchasing the training course as a gift, please indicate on the booking form if you would like to receive a gift voucher via email. It's important to note that the training course will be conducted using your own 4x2 vehicle, which should have good ground clearance and a rear differential lock.
SA Adventure welcomes all vehicle makes in our 4x2 driver training, including Toyota, Ford, Mazda, Isuzu, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Mahindra, VW Amarok and the GWM P-Series.
